The 1812-2 features dual Underwriters Laboratories certifications: a 2-hour fire endurance rating with drop test, and a UL Residential Security Container (RSC) burglary rating. During testing, the safe is furnace-heated up to 1850°F for 2 hours while the interior remains below 350°F throughout heating and cooldown periods.

Built for robust physical security, the safe features 2-1/2" thick walls and a 4-1/4" thick door with a recessed anti-pry design. Five massive 1" diameter active locking bolts extend deep into the safe body, supported by an independent relocker and hardplate to resist drill attacks.

A standard combination lock is included, with an electronic lock available as an upgrade. Additional security features include a shear-pin chrome handle that spins free if forced, and a center bolt-down hole to secure the unit directly to the floor.

For easier maneuvering during delivery and installation, the door is fully removable.

The safe is backed by Gardall's lifetime fire damage replacement guarantee: if your safe is damaged in a fire, Gardall will replace it at no charge (freight not included).
